Just Gotta Have Patience... :)

Henry: Do you really think there is only one perfect mate?
Leonardo da Vinci: As a matter of fact, I do.
Henry: Well then how can you be certain to find them? And if you do finally find them, are they really the one for you or do you only think they are? And what happens if the person you're supposed to be with never appears, or she does, but you're too distracted to notice?
Leonardo da Vinci: You learn to pay attention.
Henry: Then let's say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the lady you're supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?

In light of a conversation I had today with Heather (and Daniel, too, I suppose), I couldn't help but think of this conversation from Ever After. I think I could easily torture myself, just like Henry, with thoughts of "who's the Right One for me and how will I know" if I allowed my thoughts to stray that far. For the most part, I try not to think about it...at least for not very long periods of time. Worrying about it does me no good...why not enjoy what I have right now-- my family, my friends, and the other things I have to occupy with my time. It's up to God's will and His timing, not mine. The key is to leave it that way...

And the key to leaving it that way is... to reremember that you need to leave it with God, regularly!

I hope this will help anyone that is asking the same questions as Henry. And i have asked myself those questions before plenty of times.
Once you quit worrying about finding the one and when you least expect it, it will happen. (maybe not overnight, but maybe after you get to know a person) Then all the questions stop and you just know. Trust me, I have never felt that way with any other man but one. He is the most wonderful person to me and I am so thankful that he is the one I got to marry.
Bottom line is, dont waste your time (as I did) asking questions and worrying about when you will meet the one. It will happen one day, but there is no way you can speed the process up. So concentrate on something else, have fun and live your life.
